Capstone NPO Project JASWO

The Capstone Project is a collaboration between graphic design students and local non-profit organizations. The purpose is to provide an unique collaborative experience to develop and use our design skills for a outstanding opportunity.

Junior Achievement Southwestern Ontario is one of the world’s largest and most impactful youth-serving NGOs, JA that offers practical, immersive education in areas like entrepreneurship, work readiness, financial health, sustainability, and STEM. This project aims to address limited awareness and engagement among high school students (grades 9-12) regarding Junior Achievement Southwestern Ontario’s (JA) Company Program.

Inspired by the logo elements, the campaign uses birds to symbolize the sky is not the limit, reflecting the idea that students must spread their wings to reach their potential. To reflect Canadian pride and local community representation, the Blue Jay was chosen as the campaign mascot. The mascot features a cartoonish and approachable style, designed to resonate with a younger audience while maintaining a friendly aesthetic.
